She ranked them in order of the best on her blog - and the scones at Ormesby Hall on Ladgate Lane in Ormesby, Middlesbrough won very high praise, coming second. Sarah Merker, from London, started out on her journey in 2013 and has visited 244 properties tucking in to the sweet treat on her travels. A woman has completed a decade long project to sample the scones at every National Trust property in the country - and her trip to Teesside has earned a top ranking on her list. ![]()
